I hope that you and your families are doing well as everyone adjusts to attending school virtually. The work that I have prepared for you was selected so that you can be successful at it while at home. I will be available throughout the day via email, so please feel free to reach out with questions. I am not setting specific "office hours" so you can email me anytime and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. If a day goes by and you haven't heard back from me, send me another email. I anticipate receiving a lot of emails, so please be patient.
The due dates for the lab report, ecology PowerPoint, and ecology video have not changed. They are still due on 3/16, 3/19, and 3/23, respectively. For the video, you may or may not be able to post it on Google classroom (depending on the size of the video). If it won't post, you can put it on Google Drive and share it with me. You can also put it on YouTube (as a non-searchable video) and send me the link.
I will be posting the work for the day sometime around 8:00 each morning. For the lessons during the first week, you will be watching a video that I have prepared and then working on the Genetics Problem Sets. All classwork must be completed on paper, in your own handwriting. To receive credit, photos of your work must be put on Google Classroom no later than 11:59 that night. Answer keys will be posted the next morning, along with the next assignment. No late classwork will be accepted for any reason since the answer keys will already have been posted. If your lab reports or projects are turned in late, you will still get credit, although points will be deducted as a penalty.
At this point, I will be communicating to the class only over Google Classroom. I will not be posting the new assignments on zunick.com in order to keep everything organized in one place. Of course, all of the work is still on zunick.com and is always available to you. I just won't be updating the blog with the daily assignments.
Enjoy your weekend. Remember that Pasteur's Lab Report is still due tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. We will get through all of this together and you will still receive a great education in biology! Be safe, make smart choices, and be careful when visiting the elderly or other people who are immunocompromised.
Hoping to see you all very soon in person!
